Lime Burners Bay Heritage Park Hobsonville, Auckland, 2011 - ongoing

Brown NZ were commissioned to design a concept for a heritage reserve previously occupied by several brick and pipe manufacturing plants during the course of the late 19th century and early 20th century. The design ultimately caters for both interpretation of the brickworks sites, including foundations, rusting pipes and brick remnants / fragments which can be seen scattered along the coastal terrace and shoreline, and passive recreation use without comprising the integrity of the archaeological remains. Construction of the park is currently underway. Client: King Kylin Limited.
